DA Smith

DA Smith’s practice focuses on probate and trust litigation, estate planning, general civil litigation, legal malpractice defense, and insurance defense.

Education

DA graduated Magna Cum Laude from Baylor University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Writing and Rhetoric. A student of the rigorous Baylor Interdisciplinary Core, she sat on multiple editorial boards throughout her time at Baylor. She later earned her Juris Doctor with distinction from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2025, where she served as the Executive Managing Editor of the Oklahoma Law Review, President of the American Constitution Society, and Director of the 1L Moot Court Competition on the Board of Advocates.

An avid writer, DA’s scholarship has focused on issues at the intersection of higher education compliance, equity, and governance. Her publications include Fined and Frustrated: Unpacking Title IV and Clery Act Compliance (2025) in the Oklahoma Law Review (University of Oklahoma College of Law), From the Homeland – Chickasaw Churches: Taking a Look at the Powerful Influence These Sanctuaries Held (2021) in Chokma Chickasaw Magazine (Chickasaw Press, Chickasaw Nation), and Cyclical Poverty in Native American Communities (2019) in the Richard Macksey Journal (Krieger School of Arts & Sciences, Johns Hopkins University).
